Product Description

Amaranth cruentus

Plumes arise in late summer and continue throughout fall.  Excellent filler in bouquets, and the birds love to eat the seed heads.  Plants reach 42-48″ in height.

Start seeds 6-8 weeks before your last average frost.  Press into soil and lightly cover.  Kept at 60° F, germination is in 10-14 days.

Plant into the garden 18″ apart in full sun to partial shade.  Plants will produce more flowers in full sun.  When plants get 12″ tall, pinch them back to promote a bushier plant.
