These smooth, bright red roots are slow to develop pith. Ready in just 24 days after planting, they offer a sweet/hot taste in a dense and crisp 1″ root. Edible flowers can be used in salads, soups, or hot pasta dishes.

Radishes are cool weather crops and will not do well during summer months. They require loose, well-drained soil for root formation. To get a continuous harvest during the spring/fall months, sow seeds successively, every 7-14 days. Radishes do best when direct-sown 1/2″ deep, 2-3″ apart. With temperatures kept between 55-75°F, germination is in 5-7 days.
Radishes grow best in fertile soil with consistent moisture and can withstand temperatures down to 20-25°F.
Harvest 24-28 days after planting at a 1″ diameter. You want to pull them promptly as they rapidly decline, becoming tough and pithy if left in the ground much longer. You can check the diameter of the radish root by brushing away soil at the base of the plant until you can see how large the root is. If it needs more time to grow, simply cover the exposed root and carry on.
