Philodendron – Heart Leaf- 3 Rooted Cuttings

This is for 3 rooted cuttings from my Philodendron cordatum (heart leaf).  They are ready to be planted.  During the first few weeks, you will need to make sure the soil is kept damp.  Once new growth starts emerging, you can let them dry out in between watering.  I always tell people to never plant philodendrons in straight ‘indoor’ potting soil as it will stay too damp for too long and cause root rot.  I use a mix of Miracle Gro’s indoor potting mix, Miracle Gro’s cactus mix, added perlite for drainage and root aeration, and horticultural charcoal.  I don’t have set measurements.  I just eyeball it until I feel the soil will have good drainage and dry out in between waterings.

If I don’t have my houseplants in a somewhat sunny window, I have them under grow lights 8-10 hours a day.  I will pick the largest for the first order, so if only 1 is left in stock, it is the smaller of the 3 cuttings in the pictures.
